City Beats & Visual Vibes is a dynamic event fusing live music, visual arts, and community engagement. Headlining is the renowned Shaolin Jazz group “Can We Kick It,” known for their fusion of hip-hop and jazz. Joining them is Tyler Figueroa, a standout violinist from America’s Got Talent, as well as eight-year-old local talent Leah Laiani, captivating performance from Southeast Raleigh Magnet High School, and DJ House.
Alongside the musical lineup, “City Beats & Visual Vibes” will feature local artists showcasing their work, providing attendees with a visually stimulating experience. To conclude the evening a screening of 80s cult martial arts classic “The Last Dragon” will take place, where the Shaolin Jazz group will remix the audio live to the movie soundtrack for the audience, creating a unique viewing experience.
The event will also include vendors from the Black Flea Market, a women owned business who curate experience for Black entrepreneurs and creatives. In addition, a variety of food trucks will be onsite. In collaboration with First Friday, “City Beats & Visual Vibes” is free and open to the public, offering an unforgettable evening of music, art, and community.
