This Saturday is an all new installment of Raleigh’s live art series, the Basement Battle!

Eight local artists are given matching markers and canvas, a surprise prompt, and 15-30 minutes to create an original piece. Crowd vote determines the winner of two rounds, to face off in a lightning round.

Funded by VAE’s Snapdragon Grant (Visual Arts Exchange, a non-profit for the arts), the event will be held at Transfer Co Ballroom (inside of Tranfser Co Food Hall) for the first time, complete with a small, curated vendor area.

Event opens at 6pm, and round one starts at 7pm. The event ends at 9pm, with the food hall open until 10pm.
