Exciting news! The applications for the 2025 Raleigh Environmental Awards are now open. These awards honor individuals, businesses, and organizations that are leading the charge in climate action and community engagement, making a positive impact on our environment.
Nominations will be evaluated based on several criteria, including innovation, creativity, and originality; environmental stewardship; leadership; effectiveness; and sustainability elements, which assess how the applicant has improved social, economic, and ecological conditions.
Applicants and nominees must be residents of or operate within the City of Raleigh or the Raleigh extraterritorial jurisdiction. Additionally, applicants and nominees in the City’s utility service area and students in the Wake County Public School System are eligible to participate.
The application deadline is February 28, 2025.
The City will recognize the winners at the Earth Day celebration on April 25, 2025, at Dix Park. This free community event will feature music, activities, and games for all ages.
