This marks the first of three reclaimed bungalows-turned-businesses from Trophy Brewing, with the next door State of Beer’s new location planned to open in early 2025, and the third concept still in development. Meanwhile, the home of the NC Courage and NCFC will have a new name as First Horizon Bank has purchased the naming rights to the stadium at WakeMed Soccer Park, which will retain its name. The newly christened First Horizon Stadium at WakeMed Soccer Park, seating 10,000 fans, recently hosted the NCAA Division I Men’s and Women’s Soccer Championships. In other news, Raleigh secured bronze in a recent poll of 1,000 Americans as the No. 3 best city in the US, with Oak City ranking fourth for most underrated and sixth for friendliest residents. Once the Christmas season concludes, Wake County encourages residents to donate their trees to be used at county parks, with eight drop-off locations accepting trees from December 26 to January 26. Last winter, 4,400 trees were dropped off, resulting in 95 tons of mulch for area parks. For those in need of a last-minute present, Crabtree has extended its holiday shopping hours through Christmas Eve and offers gift wrapping services.
