On Tuesday, January 7, from 7:30 to 9 p.m., the Morgan Street Food Hall hosts Tuesday Night Trivia. The following day, Wednesday, January 8, Ira David Wood III will present his book, “The Bittersweet Voyage of the Golden Ship Hatteras,” at Quail Ridge Books from 7 to 8 p.m. for free. This Raleighite shares a love story set on the Outer Banks. Additionally, Trivia Wednesdays take place at The Green Monkey from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., and Jazz Night at Slim’s Dive Bar offers a chill evening of lively and laid-back jazz from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., also for free. Zenith Raleigh Downtown Karaoke runs from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m., while the NC State Wolfpack faces the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in men’s basketball at the Lenovo Center at 7 p.m., with tickets starting at $10. The Wolfpack holds an 8-6 record. On Thursday, January 9, Goodnights Presents: Zainab Johnson at the Goodnights Comedy Club at 8 p.m., with tickets starting at $33. This comedian is known from “Last Comic Standing.” Live music is also featured at The Raleigh Times Bar from 7 to 10 p.m. with XOXOK.
