– Dr. Sturdivant is the pastor of the historic Springfield Baptist Church in Raleigh, NC.

Rev. Dr. Sterling E. Freeman is a multifaceted leader, an organizational and cultural change agent, facilitator, counselor, and renowned public speaker.
Join us for a community dialogue in recognition of the Kellogg Foundation’s National Day of Racial Healing. The event is free and open to the public.

Mark your calendars for Monday, January 20th, to attend the 45th Annual Triangle Martin Luther King, Jr. Interfaith Prayer Breakfast.
The event will be held at the Sheraton Imperial Hotel in Durham, North Carolina (RTP), located at 4700 Emperor Blvd.
The program will commence at 7:15 a.m. and will feature a keynote address by Dr. Donna Coletrane Battle, Ph.D.
The doors will open at 6 a.m., and breakfast will be served until 8 a.m.

Dr. Battle, a spiritual practitioner, soul coach, and educator, focuses on justice and healing, particularly in the intersection of race, gender, and spirituality. She holds degrees from NC A&T State University (BA in Public Relations), Duke University (MDiv), and Eastern University (Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy).
Join us for the 45th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial March on Saturday, January 14th, at 11:00 a.m. in Downtown Raleigh. The march begins at the State Capitol Building on Edenton Street.
The march will feature a lineup of civic organizations, community leaders, and families. The event will culminate in a march to the Life and Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

On Sunday, January 15th, we will host the 45th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Noon Ecumenical Service. The theme for this year’s service is “Mission Possible: The Power of Justice and Radical Love.” The doors will open at 11:30 a.m., and the program will commence at noon. Reverend Mark Anthony Middleton, the founder and senior pastor of the Abundant Hope Christian Church in Durham, North Carolina, and the Mayor Pro Tempore of the City of Durham, NC, will deliver the keynote address.
The evening will conclude with a musical celebration featuring National Recording Artist Earnest Pugh, the MLK All Children’s Choir, and other talented performers. This celebration will provide an opportunity for worship and reflection on the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
