From soul-infused swing to Appalachian folk-rock, the midweek energy was anything but mellow. Here’s what headlined the Raleigh Big Ticket Event Guide: Wednesday Edition.

Sidecar Social Club at Koka Booth Amphitheatre – 5:45 PM

The evening kicked off at the serene Koka Booth Amphitheatre in Cary, where Sidecar Social Club delivered a vibrant blend of jazz, swing, and soul. Known for their high-energy performances and vintage flair, the band brought a retro-cool vibe to the lakeside venue—ideal for fans of classic sound with a modern twist. The open-air setting and groovy tunes made for a picture-perfect start to the night.

Tyler Childers at Coastal Credit Union Music Park – 7:30 PM

A short drive away in Raleigh, the main event of the night drew thousands: Tyler Childers live at Coastal Credit Union Music Park at Walnut Creek. The Kentucky-born singer-songwriter brought his signature blend of bluegrass, country, and rock to the big stage. With heartfelt lyrics, fiery fiddle solos, and a die-hard fanbase in tow, this was one of the most anticipated shows of the season.
