Anjelah Johnson-Reyes – 7:00 PM @ Carolina Theatre (Durham) “Bon Qui Qui” fans, unite—she’s back with new material and even bigger laughs. Ellen Skrmetti – 7:00 PM @ Raleigh Improv (Cary) Rising star. Relatable and razor-sharp. Chad Prather – 7:30 PM @ Goodnights Comedy Club Comedy with a country twist. Rufus Du Sol – 7:30 PM @ Walnut Creek Massive sound. Euphoric visuals. This electronic trio puts on a show. Shane Gillis – 8:00 PM @ Lenovo Center He’s raw, real, and ridiculously funny. Kenny G – 7:30 PM @ DPAC (Durham) Saxophone seduction under the stage lights. Say less. Jay Pharoah, Donnell Rawlings, Matt Ross, Paul F. Tompkins, and more Multiple shows. Multiple venues. All comedy royalty. North Carolina Symphony: The Firebird – 8:00 PM @ Meymandi Concert Hall Stravinsky’s masterpiece live? Goosebumps guaranteed. Save Ferris – 8:00 PM @ Kings Ska punk flashback! Bust out your checkered Vans.

SATURDAY, MAY 10

B93.9’s B-Bash – 6:00 PM @ Koka Booth Amphitheatre Chris Janson & Parmalee bring the boot-stomping hits lakeside. Bingo Loco – 7:30 PM @ The Ritz It’s bingo, but make it wild—with dancing, glowsticks, and DJs. Jay Pharoah, Donnell Rawlings, and Matt Ross keep the laughs rolling all night Seriously, just move into Goodnights at this point. We Are Messengers – 7:00 PM @ The Acorn Center (Littleton) A faith-filled night of music and purpose.
