Hop on over to the Walnut Creek Wetland Center on Sunday, May 25, 2025, from 1:30 to 3 p.m., as we throw a ribbit-ing birthday bash for one of our most beloved residents—Pudge the Frog!
Pudge isn’t just any frog—he’s our wise and warty Cope’s Grey Tree Frog, and although the Guinness Book of World Records doesn’t track the world’s oldest frogs of his kind, we think his 8th birthday deserves a celebration all its own. As an Animal Ambassador, Pudge has helped kids and families connect with nature in ways that are both educational and unforgettable.
So what’s in store at this froggy fête?
Crafts and games with our naturalists A frog-tastic story time Live animal encounters Nature lessons about the amazing world of amphibians Plus, lots of opportunities to learn how to protect and befriend frogs in our communities
This event is perfect for kids ages 5–8, but families of all ages are welcome. And the best part? It’s free! Just don’t forget to RSVP on RecLink.
Pro tip: Bring your curiosity, your love for frogs, and be ready to spend some time outdoors celebrating a very hoppy birthday.
We can’t wait to see you there and join in the fun for our favorite tree frog—Happy Birthday, Pudge!
