From the steps of downtown to the heart of our schools and museums, this past week in Raleigh was filled with powerful moments of unity, celebration, and service. Through protest, partnership, and community pride, Raleigh showed up in a big way — and we were there to capture it all.

The march drew people from all walks of life, unified in their call for progress and equity. With powerful signage, heartfelt speeches, and unwavering energy, the protest was a testament to the strength and spirit of our city’s people — loud, proud, and committed to a better tomorrow.

Moore Square Market: Sunday Vibes & Local Love

Under the summer sun, Moore Square Market was in full swing. Families, farmers, and foodies filled the park with the sounds of conversation, laughter, and live music. Local vendors offered everything from fresh produce to artisan goods, creating a space where neighbors connect and Raleigh’s creative heartbeat thrives. It was a perfect reminder of why we love Sundays downtown.

Men of Southeast Raleigh Honored for Mentorship

At Southeast Raleigh Elementary School, the spotlight shined bright on the Men of Southeast Raleigh — a dedicated group of volunteers honored for their ongoing work with the Partner Read Program. Through weekly reading sessions, these mentors are shaping futures one story at a time. The school held a special ceremony to recognize their impact, with students, staff, and families offering well-deserved applause. It was a beautiful example of what happens when community steps in with intention and love.

Guests explored exhibits, listened to spoken word performances, and heard from community leaders who highlighted the contributions of Black trailblazers in Raleigh’s past and present.
