Organizations interested in working with the Downtown Raleigh Alliance (DRA) now have an opportunity to help shape one of downtown Raleigh’s signature music experiences. DRA is currently accepting Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for a provider to book and manage musicians for the 2026 Live After 5 concert series — a popular free live music event designed to activate downtown Raleigh, support local artists, and bring the community together.
The selected provider will coordinate musicians for monthly performances scheduled May through August 2026, typically on select Thursdays from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at City Plaza in Downtown Raleigh. Inspired by more than 25 years of downtown live music traditions, the series highlights regional talent while encouraging residents, professionals, and visitors to enjoy Raleigh’s vibrant cultural scene after work.
Proposal Deadline and Opportunity Details
Proposals for the 2026 series were requested by Monday, February 2 at 12 p.m., with the goal of securing a partner capable of managing artist booking, logistics, and event coordination. The Live After 5 series plays a key role in supporting local musicians, energizing downtown businesses, and reinforcing Raleigh’s reputation as a hub for arts, culture, and community engagement.
Organizations interested in future opportunities are encouraged to monitor Downtown Raleigh Alliance updates as new RFPs become available. Partnerships like these help sustain Raleigh’s thriving downtown ecosystem while creating accessible cultural experiences for the public. Visit the Downtown Raleigh Alliance for details.
