In January, Raleigh hosts a variety of exciting events. On the 3rd, the Animate! Raleigh Animation Convention takes place at the Raleigh Convention Center, while the Clairvoyant Band performs at Slim’s Dive Bar’s First Friday Bash from 9pm to 12am. That evening, CoLab introduces its First Friday event from 6pm to 11pm at The Carter Building, and Artspace celebrates the January First Friday 2025 from 6pm to 9pm. At Designed For Joy, participants can make and take a Raleigh Acorn Bell. The Arts Access Gallery opens its “Rewoven: The Art of Renewal” exhibition from 6pm to 9pm. The 5th Annual Illuminate Art Walk occurs from 5pm to 11pm, best viewed starting at sunset on Fayetteville Street, with a Sip n’ Stroll Tour beginning at 5:30pm through Raleigh Walking Tours. Curate Raleigh hosts its First Friday event from 6pm to 9pm, Lump Projects presents “Reworking a Bloom” from 6pm to 9pm, and The Davie features live music by Michael Parker from 8pm to 11pm. Legends Night Club Complex rounds out the night with a First Friday Talent Show at 10pm.
