It’s a busy week in the Town of Cary. From a Bollywood-inspired dance workshop to a Halloween-season movie night, plus Triangle Oktoberfest and Puppy Yoga on the weekend, here’s what’s on the calendar for September 28 to October 3, 2026.

Monday, Sept. 28: Town Meetings

• 5:15 pm: Council Recommendations Committee
• 6:30 pm: Planning and Zoning Board (canceled)

If you follow local government, note that the Planning and Zoning Board meeting will not take place.

Wednesday, Sept. 30: Dance and Theater

• 6:30 pm: Dandiya & Garba: Craft + Dance Workshop
• 7:30 pm: Cary Players performance

Try the traditional Indian folk dances Dandiya and Garba, with a craft element, then catch a show with the Cary Players.

Thursday, Oct. 1: Midday Music

• 10:00 am: Sustainability Tour (Seniors Only)
• 11:30 am: Live at Lunch: Savanna Bassett

Bring your lunch break to a live performance by Savanna Bassett.

Friday, Oct. 2: Oktoberfest, Music and a Movie

• Triangle Oktoberfest begins
• 5:00 pm: Bands, Bites, and Boats
• 6:00 pm: Movie Night: Frankenweenie
• 7:30 pm: Cary Players performance

Friday night has a few options. Kick off Oktoberfest weekend, enjoy live bands and food at Bands, Bites, and Boats, watch Frankenweenie for a Halloween-season movie night, or take in a Cary Players show.

Saturday, Oct. 3: Puppies, Cleanups and Oktoberfest

• Triangle Oktoberfest continues
• 8:30 am: Puppy Yoga
• 9:00 am: Fall Litter Sweep at the Neighborhood Park at Carpenter Fire Station Road
• 9:30 am: Fall Litter Sweep at Swift Creek Greenway
• 11:30 am: Fall Litter Sweep at East Cary Middle School
• 7:30 pm: Cary Players performance

Start your Saturday with Puppy Yoga, or volunteer at one of three Fall Litter Sweep locations around town. Then spend the afternoon at Triangle Oktoberfest and finish with an evening show.
