Smooth Talk is filling Thursdays in October with creative events at Juiced!, bringing together performers and audiences for throwback songs and poems, a featured live performance, an album release celebration and a Halloween poetry slam.

The October lineup celebrates artists’ beginnings, new music and spoken-word performances, with a different theme for each announced night.

Throwback Thursdays With DJ Mizz Allure and Sweaty Vegan

DJ @mizzallure and host @_sweatyvegan are launching their first Throwback Thursdays event, inviting performers to revisit songs and poems they created when they first got started.

The theme gives artists a chance to share their creative origins while audiences hear the work that helped shape their journeys. Expect an evening built around favorite early pieces and the stories behind them.

Thursday, October 15: A Live Feature From Credle

Coming off a live theater performance in Dream Girls, @iam.credle will take the Smooth Talk stage for a dedicated live feature.

The featured performance begins at 9 p.m. Attendees planning to catch Credle’s set should arrive before the feature starts.

Thursday, October 22: Grandchamps Album Release Showcase and Party

@official_grandchamps will host an Album Release Showcase and Party, pairing Smooth Talk’s traditional open mic with a celebration of new music.

The evening begins with the open mic. From 9:30 p.m. until midnight, the showcase will feature performers from the album alongside new music, building toward the album’s midnight release.

For anyone interested in discovering new music and supporting artists, this night offers both an open mic and a release celebration.

Thursday, October 29: Spooky Slam With Crazii Poets

Smooth Talk is teaming up with @craziipoets for the annual Spooky Slam, combining a scary poetry slam with a costume contest.

The Halloween-themed evening will include poetry, costumes, dancing and opportunities to cheer on participating slam performers.

October 29 is a poetry slam night, with no open mic. Guests can come dressed for the costume contest and enjoy the competition.
