On April 12, 2025, the John Chavis Memorial Community Center in Raleigh, North Carolina, will host the third annual TEDxYouth@ChavisWay event. This year’s theme, “Stories Beyond Boundaries,” aims to highlight the transformative power of storytelling in bridging divides and fostering understanding.

TEDxYouth@ChavisWay is an independently organized TEDx event that provides a platform for young voices to share innovative ideas and inspiring stories. The 2025 event will feature a diverse lineup of presenters and performers, all aged between 10 and 19, eager to share their unique perspectives.
Hosts:
• Niko Wiguna: A senior at Green Level High School, Niko is passionate about creative mediums, including choreographing hip-hop dance routines and producing concept videos for his local chocolate business. Having previously spoken at TEDxYouth@ChavisWay in 2023 and co-hosted in 2024, Niko returns this year to co-host and mentor new speakers.
• Emily Pirhalla: An Adobe Digital Media Academy student with a keen interest in marketing and fashion, Emily is deeply involved in public speaking, marketing, and event coordination. She enjoys creating engaging experiences that bring people together.
In addition to the talks and performances, the event will showcase a gallery of artwork by local youth and offer activities designed to promote community collaboration and highlight the power of storytelling to transcend boundaries.
TEDxYouth@ChavisWay is organized by a dedicated team of faculty, youth development specialists, and community members committed to amplifying youth voices in Wake County.
