At 11 a.m., the Raleigh Transit Authority Route Committee meets to discuss proposed changes, service improvements, and route efficiency initiatives for the city’s transit system. The City Council convenes for its afternoon session at 1 p.m. to review policy updates, zoning cases, and budget items affecting Raleigh’s growth and development. Entrepreneurs and small business owners can participate in the virtual “Doing Business with the City of Raleigh” workshop at 4 p.m., where registration is required to learn how to navigate city contracts and procurement opportunities. Simultaneously, the RHDC Community Awareness Committee meets at 4 p.m. to focus on community education, preservation, and engagement within Raleigh’s historic districts. The RHDC Research Committee will convene at 8:30 a.m. to discuss upcoming preservation studies and documentation of Raleigh’s historic landmarks. At 12 p.m., there will be a virtual information session on career opportunities with the City of Raleigh, where participants can learn about open positions, application tips, and the experience of working in one of North Carolina’s fastest-growing cities. The Active Adults Poetry Workshop will take place at the Five Points Center at 3 p.m., offering Raleigh’s active adult residents a chance to express creativity and connect with others through poetry in an interactive setting. Additionally, the Raleigh Transit Authority Finance & Policy Committee Meeting is scheduled for 3:30 p.m., where financial updates, budget priorities, and policy recommendations that will shape the future of Raleigh’s transit system will be reviewed.
