Veterans Day Observance

On Monday, November 11, at 11 a.m. at Veterans Freedom Park, located at 1517 North Harrison Avenue, for a solemn ceremony to honor our veterans. The event will feature remarks from Cary City Council members, a guest speaker, Colonel Bret Batdorff, and music performed by the Old North State Brass Band. Additionally, Orange County will host its Veterans Day Celebration at the Orange County Veterans Memorial on the same day and time. The guest speaker will be Captain Alfred S. McLauren, USN (Ret.) Ph.D.

Lastly, Durham Community Concert Band will perform a free concert at Southern Village on 400 Market Street at 3 p.m. This concert will feature patriotic tunes and other favorites, and it’s open to everyone. Don’t forget to bring a chair and blanket!

Duke University Veterans Day Commemoration Ceremony
