The City of Raleigh’s weekend calendar offers career development, outdoor entertainment, technology assistance and live music from Friday, August 7, through Sunday, August 9, 2026.
Residents can celebrate Raleigh’s young professionals, attend First Friday festivities, receive free help with personal devices and close out the weekend with a free concert at Fred Fletcher Park.
Friday, August 7
Partnership Raleigh 2026 Closing Celebration
The City of Raleigh will celebrate the successful completion of its 2026 Partnership Raleigh cohort. The program connects young adults with career exploration and employment opportunities through partnerships with public- and private-sector employers.

First Friday Market and Movie

First Friday returns to Moore Square with an outdoor market, food trucks, live music, games and a screening of Zootopia 2. The market opens at 5 p.m., live music begins at 5:30 p.m. and the movie is scheduled to start around 7:15 p.m.

First Friday With the NC Courage
Time: 6–9 p.m.
Location: City of Raleigh Museum

Celebrate women’s soccer during a special First Friday happy hour with the NC Courage. Visitors can meet team mascot Roary, play mini soccer, make friendship bracelets and participate in giveaways.

Advice About Your Device Drop-In Hours
