Adventure Landing Raleigh will permanently close after its final day of operation on Sunday, August 16, 2026. The longtime family entertainment center at 3311 Capital Boulevard is ending a 38-year run filled with miniature golf, go-karts, laser tag, arcade games, batting cages and generations of birthday celebrations.

The park announced the closure on Thursday, August 13, giving families only one final weekend to visit. Adventure Landing said the decision followed the nonrenewal of its property lease.

When Is Adventure Landing Raleigh Closing?

Adventure Landing Raleigh’s final day will be Sunday, August 16, 2026. The closing is permanent, according to the park’s official announcement.

Visitors planning one last trip should review the park’s official website for current operating hours and attraction availability.

Location: 3311 Capital Boulevard, Raleigh, NC 27604
Final day: Sunday, August 16, 2026
Phone: 919-872-1688

Why Is Adventure Landing Closing?

The Raleigh attraction is closing because its property lease was not renewed. No plans for a replacement Raleigh location were announced with the closure.

The park had addressed closing rumors earlier in 2026 by saying it had no immediate plans to shut down. The official announcement in August confirmed that circumstances had changed and the Capital Boulevard location would close permanently.

A Raleigh Family Destination Since 1988

Adventure Landing opened in 1988 and grew into one of Raleigh’s most familiar family entertainment destinations. Its attractions included:

  • Adventure Speedway go-karts
  • Miniature golf
  • Laser tag
  • Batting cages
  • Arcade games
  • Birthday-party packages
  • Group and community events

For many Raleigh residents, Adventure Landing was more than a collection of attractions. It was a place for birthday parties, school outings, church gatherings, family weekends and annual traditions.

Owner Hank Woodburn thanked the guests, employees, schools, churches, businesses and community organizations that supported the park during its 38 years in Raleigh. He said the team was grateful for the opportunity to help families create lasting memories, according to ABC11.

What Should Customers Do With Tickets and Gift Certificates?

Customers with unused Adventure Landing items should try to redeem them before the park closes. This includes:

  • Arcade tokens
  • Prize tickets
  • Gift certificates
  • Groupons
  • Promotional certificates
  • Other unused offers

Guests should not assume these items will remain valid after August 16. Contact the Raleigh location directly if you have questions about a particular certificate, ticket or promotion.

Adventure Landing Items Will Be Auctioned

Adventure Landing indicated that many items from the Raleigh park will be sold through an auction. Additional details, including a link to the auction website, are expected to be released later, ABC11 reported.

The park had not yet published a complete auction list or schedule at the time of this article.

Raleigh Families Say Goodbye

News of the closing prompted families to return for one more round of laser tag, miniature golf and arcade games. Parents who visited the park as children later brought their own children, giving Adventure Landing a multigenerational place in Raleigh’s history.

Families visited throughout the final weekend to revisit favorite attractions and make a final set of memories, according to WRAL.

Its closure marks the loss of another longtime indoor-and-outdoor recreation option along Capital Boulevard. What will happen next at the property has not been officially announced.
