Community Engagement

• Meet Us at the Square 2026 (10 a.m.): Stop by to connect with City of Raleigh staff and share your questions, ideas and feedback.
• Biodegradable Yard Waste Bag Giveaway (11 a.m., Buffaloe Road Athletic Park): Pick up free biodegradable yard waste bags as fall cleanup season begins. Registration is required, so register ahead of time to reserve your spot.

Boards and Commissions

• Raleigh Transit Authority Finance and Policy Committee Meeting (3:30 p.m.): This committee helps shape financial and policy decisions for public transit in Raleigh. If you ride GoRaleigh or care about how transit is funded, this is a chance to see the process up close.

Festivals and Special Events

• Sir Walter Raleigh Awards for Community Appearance (6 p.m.): This annual event honors projects and people who improve the look and feel of the city. RSVP to attend.
