Moonlight in the Garden returns to Raleigh this November, offering a chance to explore the JC Raulston Arboretum after dark. Artful lighting transforms its internationally acclaimed plant collection into an evening experience featuring illuminated trees, glowing pathways, live music and seasonal treats.

The 2026 event takes place November 6–7, 13–14 and 20–21, with a special Preview Night on Thursday, November 5. Tickets are required.

Discover the Garden in a Different Light

Visitors can wander through the arboretum as carefully placed lights reveal the shapes, textures and colors of plants in unexpected ways. Familiar garden spaces take on a different character at night, creating an inviting setting for an evening with family and friends.

Between strolls, guests can listen to live music, purchase a bite from a food truck, gather around the fire pits and warm up with hot apple cider. For anyone looking for November things to do in Raleigh, Moonlight in the Garden combines an outdoor adventure with a relaxed fall atmosphere.
