Celebrating 50 Years of Raleigh Greenways: Past, Present, and Future

Celebrate the 50th anniversary of Raleigh’s Capital Area Greenway System with an evening reception and panel discussion exploring its beginnings, growth and future.

East Lane Street Public Meeting

City staff will share information about the East Lane Drainage Improvements project and seek feedback on construction as design nears completion.

The project calls for new stormwater pipes and drains in the City right-of-way along East Lane Street and toward Linden Avenue, with the goal of reducing flooding and improving neighborhood drainage. View public meeting details⁠.

Wake BRT: Southern Corridor Station Area Plan Open House

6–7 p.m. | Carolina Pines Community Center

Residents can explore maps, learn about the planning timeline and share feedback on the Southern BRT Station Area Plan. The plan addresses areas around future bus rapid transit stations along South Wilmington Street, supporting the corridor connecting downtown Raleigh to Garner Station Boulevard. 

Station-area planning considers walking and biking connections to transit and how nearby neighborhoods can grow. This process is separate from the design of BRT stations and bus lanes.
