Urban Ministries of Wake County

Urban Ministries of Wake County provides weekly food assistance to Wake County residents experiencing food insecurity. No referral is required.

• Location: 1390 Capital Boulevard, Raleigh.
• Distribution: Monday through Thursday, beginning at 8:30 a.m., until supplies run out or daily capacity is reached.
• Frequency: One food box per household each week.

Urban Ministries of Durham

Urban Ministries of Durham offers grocery assistance through its food pantry and meals through its Community Café.

• Community Café: Open to anyone needing a meal, with three meals provided daily. Weekday lunches are available as bagged lunches picked up during breakfast.

NeighborUp Food Pantries

NeighborUp provides free emergency groceries through pantries where approved shoppers select the foods they need. Available items may include pantry staples, produce and dairy products.

• Cary pantry: 193 High House Road, Cary. Shopping is available Monday through Saturday by appointment.
• Apex pantry: 1600 Olive Chapel Road, Suite 408, Apex. Shopping is available Monday through Thursday by appointment.

The service area includes Cary, Morrisville, Apex, Holly Springs, Fuquay-Varina, Willow Spring, New Hill and Friendship. Eligibility also includes certain households with children attending public K–12 schools in those communities and people experiencing homelessness whose most recent permanent address was within the service area.

Tri-Area Ministry Food Pantry

Tri-Area Ministry Food Pantry provides groceries to anyone in need, including residents outside Wake County. No appointment, referral, income requirement or proof of residency is required.

• Hours: Mondays and Wednesdays, 10 a.m.–1 p.m.
• Additional distributions: Second and third Saturdays of each month, 10 a.m.–1 p.m.
